Introducing Phil Wallach - Base Co-founder & Director.

Phil leads and manages the Base team and is deeply involved in the day-to-day implementation of all projects. Phil brings well over 20 years of experience in the industry and has been involved with Base since he co-founded it in 1993.
Philip began his technical career with Lend Lease in 1981 and over the following decade he helped develop major applications for companies including Softway, Australia Bank and Tower Technology.
Since running Base, Phil has been instrumental in outsourced software development projects including up to 20 member teams. He has worked on software systems for clients including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Deutsche Bank, Sydney Light Rail, AUSDOC and many more.
Phil has broad experience with all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including gathering and analysing requirements, data modelling, design, development, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance and decommissioning. He has developed systems under Unix, MS Windows and VMS, in C, C++, SQL, Java and Unix shell, and used SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Informix and Datatrieve.
This technical expertise is complemented by a solid understanding of business requirements, and excellent problem solving and communication skills.
